the suite was nice, but why do I have to blow dry my hair at the desk with no mirror? the tv was broked, so I had to switch rooms. I expected a complimentary upgrade, but I guess that sort of thing is too much to ask for. everything was just so average, almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

The coffee was good and the breakfast was decent.

We had a terrible check-in experience. The receptionist gave our reserved room to someone else, and we were left waiting for over an hour and a half. When we finally got a room, there was no apology for the delay, which was infuriating with my tired granddaughter in tow.

The bed was incredibly cozy, making it easy to drift into a deep sleep every night. I loved the spacious layout, which allowed me to stretch out and truly unwind. The outdoor swimming pool was the perfect place to cool off and relax after exploring the area.

This was a good pick for a two-day stay in Zapata with good price value. The internet service was excellent. I didn’t have to log back in every day. Make sure to check the breakfast hours beforehand, as it can get busy.

During my stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Zapata, I found the location perfect for my fishing trip, close to Falcon Lake. My room was clean and spacious, giving me plenty of room to relax after a long day. The internet service was excellent. I appreciated not having to log back in every day. However, breakfast options were quite limited compared to what I expected. The continental selection felt average, and while the coffee was good, I had to go out for a more satisfying meal. Additionally, there were some inconveniences. the microwave outlet in the room wasn’t working, forcing me to move it to a small table to warm up baby bottles. The ice machine being on another floor was also a hassle. I did enjoy the comfortable bed and pillows though, so that helped make up for some of the negatives.

The location is perfect for birdwatching, especially with cliff swallows nesting under the road bridges nearby. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about local attractions, and the breakfast had a great variety of warm options that were fresh and tasty.
